The Fayette County Appraisal District is accepting applications for persons to serve on the Appraisal Review Board (ARB) for a two-year term (2024-2025). The District is seeking qualified individuals to fill vacancies on the five-member board. The ARB normally meets in June through August and possibly into September for approximately 25 to 35 days. Each member is paid $150.00 per day. Applicants must have lived within Fayette County for the last 2 years, must not be a board member, employee or officer of a taxing unit served by the appraisal district, must demonstrate the ability to communicate well with the public and be willing to attend a training session sponsored by the Property Tax Assistance Division, State Comptroller’s Office. Applications will be accepted until December 1, 2023 and may be obtained at the appraisal district office at 111 S. Vail or by calling (979) 968-8383. Qualified individuals will be selected by the 155th District Court Judge.
